Quotes

What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of distriction. The promise that life can go on again, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again.

Teens can add to the world

Teens can add to this world. Teens can make a difference. How you ask, the answers simple. Teens are the future generation. Each generation becomes more knowledgeable then the last generation because of the advance in technology. Thinking back to Ben Franklin yes he was a genius but he discovered and invented things that were not known of at the time and we now use every day. The inventions have drastically changed since he lived in the 1900s. Now Alexander Gram Bell invented the telephone in the year 1876. This telephone was a cup attached to a wire that sound could be heard from the other end. Today almost every american has a cell phone. A telephone that can be carried around and can be used to hear the voice of some one thousands of miles away. Teens can make a difference one step at a time, and make the world a better place. A small thing can make a difference. People are like chain reactions if one person wears something another likes they will want a similar one. The same thing can work for projects. If one teen wants to help out those of an elderly shelter another might like the idea and want to do the same. Young people have creative minds and bright ideas the adults build off off because with everything they have learned they think more structured and logically then spontaneously.

Looking for a friend

A friend is someone like you. One who is honest and kind, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring. A friend is responcible for what they say and do. Respects themselves and others. The height of my friend does not matter nor there appearance. But a friend who is true and will like me for me. Who helps others will never yell at me makes me laugh and happy when I am sad.

Objects point of view

Why must these people look upon me to see there ugly selves? You are still the same person as you were last night when you looked upon me, not much has changed. Your just as ugly as yesterday.Yes your hair is styled differently And yes your make up is gone. Let me tell you man to mirror. You will never change your appearance enough to be attractive. You will always be you. So why must you look upon me for change when change is yet to come? If there comes a day where you have changed I shall inform you.

What makes me enthusiastic about learning?

The main thing that makes me enthusiastic about learning is thinking what academic steps I need to take to obtain an occupation that will financially support me. I try my hardest to get good grades so that I can get into a good college. The qualities that are always present when I learn are drive, determination and effort. These qualities are very important because determination is key to success. I enjoy learning about topics that interest me. Things that I am forced to learn that are not about topics I am interested in I relate back to topics I am interested in.

Experience with courage

One experience that I had with courage was when I spoke in front of a large crowd. There were about one hundred or more adults of whom were Girl  Scout leaders or had some how participated in helping the Girl Scout community. Many of the adults were getting awards for being in Girl Scouts for a significant number of years. One lady had been in Girl Scouts for 75 years. When I learned this after we had a chat she became my idol. I want to be involved in Girl Scouts as long as she has been. I wrote her a letter explaining what an inspiration she was to me and how I was thankful for everything that she did for the community. At the presentation of the awards I read a poem to the adults about what characteristics a true Girl Scout has and there role in the community. i was very nervous that I would mess up. In the end I read the poem fluently and got many complements from people and the ceremony.
